This wedding day timeline is created to fit most couples and most weddings, traditional, or non-traditional. It’s created to give you a place to start when planning your wedding day by the hour. And if you’re doing that, then you must be close to the big day, so let’s celebrate!

9:00am – hair and makeup starts (if necessary)
2:00pm – portraits
2:30pm – first look with parent or other family member
2:45pm – first look or letter reading with spouse
3:00pm – half of wedding party photos
3:30pm – other half of wedding party photos
4:00pm – hide away/touch ups/staged getting ready photos
5:00pm – guests arrive
5:30pm – ceremony starts
6:00pm – guests head to cocktail hour/family photos
7:00pm – grand entrance/dinner is served/first dance
7:45pm – toasts
8:00pm – first dance with parents or other family member
8:15pm – cake cutting
10:00pm – last dance/sendoff
