Hosting a Galentine's Party

Galentine’s Day is all about celebrating your favorite people—your girls! Go all out with a Pinterest-worthy setup or keep it low-key and cozy. Hosting a Galentine’s party is the perfect excuse to gather, laugh, and share the love. Here’s your guide to planning a Galentine’s get-together that’ll have everyone talking (and snapping pics)!

Planning

Make the guest list

Start by deciding who you want to invite. Keep it intimate or go big—it’s your call! Once you’ve got your list:
• Send out invitations. Use Canva to create free, trendy templates or shop for stationery from a local WPN vendor here.
• Include all the details: date, time, address, dress code (think pink and red), and whether your girls need to bring anything.
• Create a group chat. This will make it easier to share updates, drop sneak peeks of your party plans, and share photos after.

Plan your menu

Food is the heart (get it?) of any great party. Stick to the theme with pink and heart-shaped treats!
• Heart-shaped pizzas, cakes, and cookies always get a heart from us!
• A sweet treat bar with all the Valentine’s staples: heart chocolates and gummies, chocolate covered strawberries, and conversation hearts.
• For drinks, think rosé, mocktails, or even a signature pink punch. Add heart-shaped ice cubes for extra flair.

Choose a theme and decorations

Pick a theme. Romantic chic? Retro pink? Or just an explosion of hearts and glitter? You have creative freedom!

Decor essentials:
• Candlesticks
• Tablecloths and runners
• Flower arrangements (bonus points if they’re DIY)
• Fairy lights and garlands

Get inspired. Pinterest and TikTok are goldmines for ideas. Save your favorites and recreate them with your own touch.

Pick an activity

Keep the fun going with a fun activity everyone can participate in! These will depend on the size of your group and space, so think about what works best for your group of girls.

• DIY charm necklaces, bracelets, or keychains are in this year. You can order a bulk mixture of charms, get some jewelry-making supplies, and you’re ready to create your own custom jewelry!
• Arrange flower bouquets with your girls. Go to your local florist (find one at Flower Shop Network!) or grocery store and stock up on a variety of flowers that complement each other. Have pre-cut paper and rubber bands ready for your guests to wrap their bouquet and take home with them!
• Make your own mini picture frames! Order a variety of small frames, or start from scratch with felt. You can add beads, charms, and other items. Take it to the next level and offer a way to print off their photos right there!
• Painting wine glasses or mugs is always perfect for Galentine’s! Provide wine glasses (or your glass of choice), paint, and brushes for your girls. Be sure to put down a tablecloth to help prevent paint messes.

Set up a photo spot

A cute photo op is a must for any party, but especially a Galentine’s party!
• Balloons, banners, and garlands make a great backdrop.
• Have fun with props like heart-shaped glasses, boas, and tiaras.
• Set up a phone tripod with a ring light or have a polaroid on hand for easy snaps.

Hosting

Prep your space

Make sure your venue (or home) looks amazing:
• Clean and get your space sparkling before you begin decorating.
• Start decorating early so you have time to tweak anything. Lighting is key—candles and fairy lights add a magical vibe.

Play the perfect playlist

Set the mood with girl power anthems and love songs. Think Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and some throwbacks. Keep the energy high and the good vibes going!

Food & drink presentation

The presentation is half the fun!
• Use cute dishes and trays to display your treats! (Have you seen the Paris Hilton heart-shaped charcuterie board? It’s a need!)
• Add some themed decor to your food table like mini heart-shaped signs or confetti. If you have time, label your foods with themed cards!
• Create a separate drink station with festive glasses, straws, and garnishes. Add some finishing touches with edible glitter and heart-shaped ice!

Give your girls a gift

Show your girls some extra love with thoughtful goodie bags! Here’s some of our favs:
• Lip balms, headbands, hand sanitizers, or mini candles
• Drinks like Poppi (because it’s adorable and delicious)
• Chocolates, candies, or even small teddy bears

Customize it to your group’s vibe—it doesn’t have to be expensive, just from the heart!

A Galentine’s party is all about celebrating friendship and creating memories. Every detail is an opportunity to share love and laughter with your besties. So grab your girls, put on your heart-eyed sunnies, and get ready to party!
